And so, brothers, select seven men who are well respected and are full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will give them this responsibility (Acts 6:3)
The Deacons Ministry helps provide Pastoral care, ministry support, love, and Christian leadership at Dorsett Chapel. We assist in the affairs of the church to help fulfill the vision God has given the Pastor for the ministry. We serve with passion, integrity, unity, harmony, and we support the church mission to “Change the World for Jesus one Soul at a time”. We are servants who desire to see God’s will be done, not ours. We serve the members under the guidance of our Pastor through modeling Christ-centered leadership, assisting in developing the spiritual lives and needs of the congregation, and participate with a servant spirit in praise and worship.
As Deacons, we take our responsibilities seriously the calling to serve and minister to our members by using our spiritual gifts in a shared ministry of concern for the total well-being of God’s people. We extend this care to families and individuals, provide encouragement and comfort to our sick and shut-in, and provide care to our families experiencing bereavement.
